Subject: Lake Project
In the next few days a private contractor will begin placement of rock along the west bank of the lake and a portion of the north bank beginning at the NW corner. This work is to mitigate further bank erosion and deterioration of the ends of the two concrete drainage ramps at the west end of the lake.
This project has been discussed several times during actual site visits with professionals in the Payne County Natural Resources Conservation Service who specialize in pond construction and management. The work has their endorsement.
Baring disruptions in supply of rock at the quarry and inclement weather that prohibits placement of the rock along the bank, the work should be completed in 4-5 days.
Please be especially vigilant regarding your and the worker’s safety as you enter and leave the subdivision while this work is underway.
Whomever is over seeing this project, Please be vigilant in making sure that all the rock that was dumped in the common area is removed from where it is now to where it is intended to go. I would hate to see our neighbors and friends get there homes and vehicles damaged next summer from flying rocks when the common area is being mowed.
